It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Cassie Emery, our Staff Accountant and HR Generalist at Banner Environmental. Despite recently joining the team, Cassie is already fully immersed in the heart of our operations. Her role includes entering and categorizing transactions, preparing journal entries, updating employee files, maintaining 1099 payrolls, and offering vital support to our accounting and HR manager. She’s also quick to adapt to new processes, a skill that has proven essential as she navigates her responsibilities at Banner.
Cassie embraces the family atmosphere at Banner Environmental, where she was welcomed with open arms and treated as a long-standing member from day one. She’s constantly learning new aspects of the asbestos and mold fields, adding to the excitement and vibrancy of her role. Inspired by her hardworking parents, Cassie applies a strong work ethic and a go-getter attitude in all she does. Her pride and joy is her Bachelor’s degree in accounting, earned through hard work and dedication while working full-time.
Off the clock, Cassie has an unusual soft spot for animals – she’s always wanted a pet pig! She also enjoys engaging in the creative pursuits of crocheting and embroidery, with a blanket project currently in progress. Her ideal free time is spent at the beach engrossed in a good crime-mystery novel. With a wanderlust spirit, Cassie dreams of doing a bit of globetrotting from the ultra-modern cityscape of Singapore to the ancient pyramids of North Africa, and then chasing the mesmerizing Northern Lights around Norway. She’s just a plane ticket away from swapping her ledger sheets for a traveler’s diary that will be filled with some note-worthy adventures. Lastly, and most importantly, Cassie is a loving aunt to three nephews, a niece, and a ‘dog niece’.
