Jeff Sampson is the dynamic Director of Business Development at Banner Environmental Services. With over three years under his belt, Jeff has consistently showcased his effectiveness in fostering relationships and expanding the company’s horizons by landing and executing some of the most significant projects. Inspired by his father, a versatile mechanic and general contractor, Jeff has imbibed the value of melding practical skills with business acumen. His day-to-day ranges from securing new clients to strengthening existing bonds and, more recently, delving deep into the nitty-gritty of project management. It’s not just about increasing the company’s footprint for Jeff; it’s about nurturing a growth mindset that maintains the intimacy and camaraderie of a close-knit team, even as the company scales up.

At the heart of his commitment to Banner is a workplace culture that he deeply cherishes. The company stands out for him because of its unique ability to grow without losing its essence. The leadership at Banner doesn’t merely focus on fostering a positive work environment; they extend their care and concern to the personal lives of their employees, creating a true family atmosphere. Jeff acknowledges the challenges inherent in the environmental services industry, emphasizing the importance of hands-on experience. Mistakes have been part of his journey, but with the company’s steadfast support, each misstep became a stepping stone to greater knowledge and expertise.

Outside of his pivotal role at Banner, Jeff wears multiple hats, even a badge – his role as a Deputy Sheriff in Plymouth County is a lesser-known facet of his life. When not contributing to the community or at Banner, Jeff finds joy in the company of his wife and daughter and the occasional tranquility of a golf course. With a bucket list that includes immersing himself in the vibrant beer halls of Munich and exploring the expansive terrains of Down Under, Jeff’s life outside of work is anything but ordinary.

From his invaluable contributions at Banner to law enforcement duties, family outings, and global aspirations, Jeff’s journey showcases the art of balancing professional achievements with life’s rich tapestry of adventures.

What do you like about Banner Environmental and the Environmental Services Industry?

What is your toughest challenge at work?

A lot of jobs we come across are not black and white, this industry has a lot of challenges you can only learn through doing it and gaining the experience. I’ve made mistakes along the way, but learning and having the company support along the way makes it much easier.

It’s a faced paced environment. There is a lot to learn, try not to feel overwhelmed as it will all fall into place.
