Let’s learn more about Patrick.

What are your job responsibilities?

Organize & review bid invites. Search for potential projects to bid on. Coordinate upcoming walkthroughs, RFIs, bid submissions & follow ups. Assist project coordinators with submittals, scheduling & general project management.

When did you start working at Banner Environmental Services?

2020

What do you like about Banner Environmental and the Environmental Services Industry?

The atmosphere & comradery at Banner is by far the best I’ve experienced. I have never felt anyone here was unapproachable, everyone is willing to help when asked. That tone is set from the top and it resonates throughout the company. As for the Environmental Service Industry, I came to Banner as green as green could be. I love learning though, and there’s no shortage when it comes to this industry. I enjoy the challenges this industry provides. When it comes to demolition, the fast person tends to win. That requires creativity at times, fortunately Banner doesn’t stifle outside thinking but encourages it.

What is your toughest challenge at work?

Juggling the challenges of becoming a father (of 2 now!) and managing home & work life. I’m still learning how to handle this as it is pretty fluid. With an incredible support system I’ve been able to learn how to better maintain a balance of all the hats I wear versus wearing one while the others collect dust.

What’s your best career advice?

Be cautious but do not be afraid of making mistakes. You have a support system behind you here so if you ever feel like you are drowning whether its work or personal life, reach out. It’s an understanding environment here and we all want to see everyone succeed.

Who inspires you?

My little brother. I’ve watched as we grew up together and he has without a doubt, the best work ethic of anyone I know. He didn’t necessarily have a role in what my career choices are, but the way I approach and pursue my career has heavy influence from him.

What do most people not know about you?

I play 7 instruments (guitar, piano, saxophone, ukulele, viola, trombone & mandolin) and after my family, music is my greatest passion. I study music theory in my spare time and have binders/notebooks at home of all my notes (super nerd I know haha).

What do you like to do for fun?

Family time has become my favorite time. I enjoy taking family drives, family walks or just a relaxing day at home. Outside of my family I play hockey, music, sketching & woodworking.

What’s on your bucket list?

My wife and I dream of an Italy trip someday. I’ve only been to Canada outside of the U.S. so I’d love to get to Europe.

Long shot one – I’d love to experience space travel if you have an in with Elon?

What accomplishment are you most proud of (inside or outside of Banner)?

Becoming a father is the proudest and most humbling experience of my life.
